Following the success of the 2020 Australia Day BlazeAid fundraiser, Woodford Golf Club has decided to hold another Charity Day, this time raising money for Abigail Sweeper. Abigail is grand daughter to long time Woodford Golf Club member Pam Sweeper.
In 2019, she had a tragic horse accident which has now left her a tetraplegic requiring 24 hour medical care and a ventilator to breathe. This year the format has changed to an 18 hole 4 person ambrose with the inclusion of a GREEN KEEPERS REVENGE CHALLENGE.
Non-golfers are strongly encouraged to attend as the day is based around raising funds for Abigail. The entry fee is $25 for members, $30 for non-members. The Cost of cart is additional. Of course the fun doesn’t stop there with the shenanigans carrying on in the clubhouse with an Aussie BBQ, Australiana beats, Thong Throwing (BYO thong) as well as a huge mutlidraw raffle with all tickets sold going towards Abbie. There is also prize for the best dressed group!
Bookings for this event will open on Monday the 11th of January at 4pm so make sure you grab some mates and head to Woodford Golf Club for a fantastic day out!
